NARI of Greater Chicagoland, headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, conferred our 2018 Remodeling Excellence Awards to selected members at our annual awards ceremony in January, 2019.
The Remodeling Excellence Awards recognize members of NARI of Greater Chicagoland for various remodeling projects, both interior and exterior, throughout the year. Winners were chosen by an impartial panel of remodeling experts, with all references to company names removed from entries. To be considered, a company must be a member of NARI of Greater Chicagoland in good standing.
All projects submitted for judging must be an improvement or an addition to an existing structure in order to be considered. New construction projects are not eligible. In addition, competing projects must have been completed between July 1 of the previous year and September 25 of the current year (a 14-month time period) and cannot have been submitted in prior NARI of Greater Chicagoland contests. An impartial panel of judges, who are considered experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant's "Before and After" photography and project description. Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
