Some categories are less popular and receive less submissions. Submitting in a specialized category reduces your competition and gives you a stronger likelihood of winning.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket! You’ve spent the time and effort to create your submission, let it work harder for you by submitting in multiple categories.
Actually, brag a lot. Don’t be hesitant to boast about all the features, bells, and whistles in your project! Be concise, DON’T be shy.
Tell a story about how the project began and evolved throughout construction. Be sure to talk about the challenges you faced and how you overcame them! The final pages of the submission should be a “final reveal” celebrating all that you achieved for your project.
Look to past winners on the NARI website for inspiration and project comparisons.
Read the rules carefully! NO BRANDING, no photos of people…make sure you touch EVERY ITEM mentioned in the evaluation criteria.
