In an article published in The Journal of Light Construction, David Pollard, architect, builder and co-founder of Liv Companies, and NARIGC board member, shared his thoughts about unique opportunities to take advantage of during the challenging pandemic times.
The early days of the pandemic saw homeowners spending unexpected amounts of time at home and, therefore, reevaluating areas of improvement needing to be done. This, plus low interest rates, drove a significant boom for remodelers taking on new business and projects – having almost too much work being a good problem to have.
Now, with a production crisis of increasing lead times and rising materials costs, there is a new challenge to tackle – executing projects with longer timelines and higher costs, elements that are out of the remodeler’s hands. But in this challenge lies significant opportunity to highlight your company’s VALUE – what you CAN control and bring to the table now to demonstrate to your client they’re getting what they paid for in their new cabinets and countertops, along with so much more.
